Shirley McFadyen

Coach - Gisborne

Why coaching? Recently I have come to realise again the value of the right questions at the right time (with the guidance of the Holy Spirit) to help navigate through different ministry situations and their impact on our personal lives, and vice versa.

The layers of experience that I bring to coaching ministry leaders include 16 years as a senior church pastor (along with my husband) and continuing in an eldership role currently at Wainui Beach Vineyard Church here in Gisborne. Other professional roles include working as an Occupational Therapist for a number of years in Mental Health Services; and leading the Critical Incident Stress Management service at the local hospital. In addition I have experience in co-leading our own Counselling and Physical Rehabilitation  practice and currently work as clinical leader of the Chronic Pain Service.

These skills in a coaching framework support a holistic approach in achieving all that God has for us. I believe that He would have us live a full life which includes navigating through the challenges of leadership whilst monitoring our own health and wellbeing.

I am the proud mother of three daughters and a multitude of grandchildren! I also love to be creative with large abstract painting, listening to and playing music and cooking. I am also currently studying for a Diploma in Nutrition.

I would welcome a conversation to see if I can assist you in your current situation to live out all that God has for you.
