I have been in church and ministry leadership for over 35 years and in full time pastoral ministry for over 22 years. In August 2025 I transitioned out of my role as Lead Pastor of Coast Vineyard Church, a church of over 600 people that my wife and I started in 2013 in Orewa, Auckland. I am currently the Director of the Laidlaw Centre for Church Leadership. I have a Masters of Ministry and Bachelor of Civil Engineering degrees. I also co-founded an Engineering Consultancy practice – Blue Barn Consulting - in the early 2000’s.  ‍

I have been married for over 34 years to Jacinda who is a church pastor, spiritual director and pastoral supervisor. We have three adult daughters who are a delight.  ‍

I have been assisting people in pastoral ministry for a few years now. It is a joy to be involved in the journey of Christian leaders, especially because I know how profoundly beneficial it has been for me as I have experienced assistance from others. 

I have a deep trust in the goodness of God outworking in people’s lives, and a grateful and optimistic outlook on life. 

I do a lot of coaching work with church planters, church leaders wanting to see growth, and church leaders in transition. I would love to be your coach. A good coach for you in this season may be just what you are hoping for.
