Watiri Maina is an Anglican priest serving in the Nelson diocese. She has served in church ministry leadership for many years in various roles, such as vicar, curate, pastoral care leader and youth leader. She is an educator, spiritual director, retreat facilitator, supervisor, coach and private practice counsellor.
She has a Master’s in Counselling Psychology and a Graduate Diploma in Theology. She has been a counselling lecturer at Laidlaw. She is now an adjunct lecturer at Bishopdale Theological College.
Her interests are supporting the flourishing of Christian ministry and ministry leaders, prayer, peace building, and conflict transformation.
She is married to Steve, and they have two daughters.
